DIGITAL SMT FACTORY - ENGINEERING REVIEW BEFORE PRODUCTION
BEFORE YOU CHOOSE A SUPPLIER

Know the risks, controls and inspection plan before you commit.

Before placing an order, you need clear answers: Can the design be manufactured reliably? Are the components and processes controlled? How will the boards be inspected and tested? EBest PCBA reviews these points with your team before production begins.

01

Can this prototype scale to production?

Identify DFM, BOM and process risks before late changes disrupt volume production.

02

Can frequent build changes stay under control?

Keep engineering feedback, sourcing status and quality records clear across every build revision.

03

How will high-risk assemblies be inspected?

Align the assembly, inspection and test plan with the actual risks in your design.

04

What evidence supports supplier qualification?

Review manufacturing controls and quality records before approving a long-term production partner.

What you receive before committing to production

A serious buyer does not need another vague quotation. They need to know what can fail, what can be sourced, how the board will be built and what evidence will be recorded.

01

Manufacturability risk review

Footprint, clearance, panelization, soldering and assembly risks are checked before production decisions.

02

BOM lifecycle and sourcing communication

Long lead time, EOL, shortage, alternates and sourcing risk are reviewed before purchasing starts.

03

Build route and inspection plan

PCB fabrication, SMT assembly, AOI/X-ray, ICT/FCT and box build requirements are aligned to your product risk.

04

Quote path with supplier evidence

You receive a clearer route to price, lead time, manufacturing scope and the proof needed for internal approval.

Final construction, lead time, tolerances and inspection scope are confirmed after file review and approved project requirements.

You'll Work With Engineers,
Not a Sales Inbox

Every EBest PCBA project is run by a 1+3 technical team: one project engineer who owns your build end-to-end, supported by a dedicated DFM engineer, a process engineer and a quality engineer. When you ask why a footprint was flagged, or whether an alternative MOSFET will survive your reflow profile, the person answering has been building boards like yours for over a decade.

  • DFM review before quoting - footprint errors, acid traps, panelization and edge-clearance risks flagged up front, not after assembly
  • BOM optimization list with every review - EOL parts, long-lead items and qualified drop-in alternatives
  • First reply within 12 hours - engineering answers from engineers, weekly status updates in production
"I started EBest PCBA because I kept watching good designs fail for boring reasons - a footprint library error, a part that went EOL mid-project, a stencil nobody questioned. Every one of those is preventable if an engineer looks before the line runs." - Peter Gui, Founder

What a Free DFM Review Actually Catches

A recent example - a 12-layer, 254 x406 mm control board, 304 SMD and 41 through-hole parts. Our pre-quote DFM ran 279 checks across 12 categories and flagged three issues the CAD tool had passed:

EBest PCBA DFM engineers in company workwear reviewing PCB layout and stack-up risks
DFM analysis in progress
Layout review before quotationEngineers review Gerber, stack-up, clearance, assembly risk and report findings before production commitment.
  • 01A power MOSFET (LFPAK56) footprint where the pin heel extended 0.08 mm beyond the pad - a latent solder-joint reliability risk on a current-carrying part
  • 02A 2512 current-sense resistor footprint with 0.34 mm pad-to-pin mismatch - high tombstoning probability in reflow
  • 03Chip components placed 2.5 mm from the board edge against a 3.0 mm process limit - a depanelization stress risk

Each finding came with exact coordinates, a captured image and a recommended fix - before the customer committed to fabrication. That's the report you get, free, within 24 hours.

Working in three kinds of companies

01 - Product Owners & OEM/ODM - For Long-Lifecycle Products
BEST FOREnd-product manufacturers in medical, industrial, drone, aerospace - 5–10 year product lifecycles.
Your pain point: one EOL part can force a redesign or recall; one silent process change can void a validation.
OUTCOMEExtend product life - Avoid redesign - Stay in production
02 - Design Houses & Startups - From Sketch to Shipped
BEST FORDesign firms, IoT and hardware startups building for OEM clients - your credibility ships with every board.
Your pain point: a wrong footprint at NPI means expensive rework and a missed client deadline.
OUTCOMEDe-risk your design - Ship faster - Win repeat projects
03 - EMS & Trading Partners - Without a PCBA Line of Their Own
BEST FOREMS and electronics trading companies without their own PCBA lines - or whose lines fit only one end: volume shops where prototypes are too costly and inflexible, and prototype shops where volume doesn't pay.
Your pain point: samples disrupt a volume line and cost a fortune to set up; volume outgrows a prototype shop overnight - and quietly outsourcing either one risks the customer relationship you built.
OUTCOMEQuote every job - Keep every customer - Scale both ways

BRAND & IP PROTECTION

Your Design, Your Brand
Protected Through Every Step

Manufacturing in China shouldn't mean handing over your IP. Here's what we do - physically, contractually and operationally - to keep your designs, drawings and brand yours.

NDA

Design & IP Confidentiality (NDA Protected)

Mutual NDA signed before you upload a single file. All Gerbers, CAD, BOMs, samples and technical data are protected through contractual confidentiality and controlled access - through evaluation, development and production.

  • Mutual NDA standard, customer template welcome
  • Customer name and logos stripped from working files
  • Projects internally referenced by code, not by name
ISO

Project Isolation Inside Our Factories

Confidentiality isn't a signature on a page; it's a way of running the floor. Inside the building, every project is operationally walled off - files, molds, stencils, samples and shop-floor visibility.

  • Role-based access control on design files and production data
  • Cameras prohibited on production lines; visit policy documented
  • Dedicated stencils and fixtures stored under project code
  • Same NDA obligations enforced on our suppliers and subcontractors
CN

China Supply-Chain Protection Support

For original products with custom molds or exclusive designs, we help you reduce the risk of leakage to local market or overseas competitors - through documentation, registration support and supply-chain isolation.

  • Custom molds and tooling kept exclusive to your account
  • Documentation support for China patent & design registration
  • Coordination with China-based IP legal resources on request
  • Anti-counterfeit and gray-market monitoring guidance
- 15-YEAR RECORD RETENTION - for any IP dispute that surfaces years later - ZERO end-customer contact from our factory to your end users - GDPR-ALIGNED handling for EU customer data

FAQ

Questions Engineers Ask Before the First Order

What files do you need for a PCBA quote?
Gerber files (RS-274X or ODB++), a BOM with manufacturer part numbers, and pick-and-place (centroid) data. Assembly drawings and test specifications help but aren't required to start. We quote turnkey, partial-turnkey and consigned builds.
Is the DFM review really free? What's the catch?
Yes - the review, the report and the BOM optimization list are free, with no obligation to order. We do it because most of the projects we review become orders once engineers see the findings. If yours doesn't, you still keep the report.
What is your minimum order quantity?
There is no MOQ. We build from 1 piece to 100K+ pieces. Most new customers start with a prototype or pilot run of 5–10 boards.
How fast can you deliver?
Standard turnkey delivery is about 1.5 weeks: DFM and material preparation run in parallel with PCB fabrication, followed by SMT, test and shipment. For urgent builds with materials on hand, we offer 24/48/72-hour expedited assembly. International shipping by DHL/FedEx/UPS adds 3–5 days to North America and Europe.
Can you source all the components, including hard-to-find parts?
Yes. Our group sourcing platform covers 1,000+ qualified suppliers and specializes in shortage recovery, EOL and last-time-buy parts. Every BOM gets a line-by-line health analysis before purchasing, and high-risk lots pass X-Ray, de-cap and functional verification in our in-house lab. High-risk lots can be reviewed with additional verification steps before purchasing and production.
What assembly classes and standards do you build to?
IPC-A-610 Class 2 by default and Class 3 for medical, aerospace and other high-reliability programs. Our group holds ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949 and AS9100D certifications.
Can you handle fine-pitch BGA and very small components?
Yes - 0.4 mm-pitch BGAs are in volume production with 100% X-Ray verification during NPI and automatic void-rate measurement; 01005 components run with type-5 paste, fine-grain stencils and full-nitrogen reflow.
How do you protect my design files and IP?
Mutual NDA is standard and can be signed before you upload anything. Internally, projects are referenced by code instead of customer name, logos are removed from working files, file access is restricted, and cameras are prohibited on production lines.
Where are you located, and can I audit the factory?
Headquarters and SMT factory are in Shenzhen, China, with an additional SMT facility in Vietnam and an office in the US. On-site audits are welcome - or book a 30-minute live video factory tour and walk the line with one of our engineers.
What warranty do you offer on assembled boards?
A 365-day workmanship warranty covering assembly defects, including return shipping. Component authenticity is separately guaranteed: full refund and replacement if any part fails verification.
