Review deliverables

Know What Needs Attention Before the BOM Becomes a Build Delay.

The output is not a vague score. It is a working list of component risks, open questions and actions that your engineering and purchasing teams can review.

01
Line-by-line component status

Manufacturer, MPN, description and available project information are checked for missing or inconsistent entries.

02
Lifecycle and supply-risk flags

EOL, NRND, availability, long lead time and shortage concerns are identified where relevant information is available.

03
Alternate-part questions

Potential alternates are separated from approved parts. EBest PCBA does not substitute a component without customer approval.

04
Open actions for quotation

Unresolved specifications, sourcing restrictions and traceability requirements are returned as a practical next-action list.

Core BOM services

Four Reviews That Protect the Purchasing Decision.

The review scope is matched to your BOM, production stage and approved sourcing rules.

01 / LIFECYCLE

Lifecycle & EOL Review

Identify Active, NRND and EOL status concerns before a component becomes difficult to support.

02 / SUPPLY

Availability & Lead-Time Review

Highlight shortage, long lead time, MOQ and continuity questions that may affect the build plan.

03 / ALTERNATES

Alternate Component Review

Compare candidate alternates and document the differences that require engineering and customer approval.

04 / CONTROL

Source Quality & Traceability

Align approved channels, incoming checks, date-code needs and traceability records with project requirements.

Review workflow

From Your Current BOM to a Clearer Purchasing Route.

Incomplete files can start the conversation. Final sourcing and quotation decisions depend on the confirmed project requirements.

01Send the BOM

Share the current spreadsheet and known project requirements.

02Check line items

Review identifiers, lifecycle, availability and sourcing questions.

03Return risks

Document risk level, missing inputs and proposed next actions.

04Confirm approvals

Your team approves alternates, restrictions and sourcing rules.

05Prepare the route

Move the confirmed BOM toward quotation, sourcing or PCBA planning.

Representative report format

A Review Your Team Can Act On.

The example below illustrates the information structure only. Actual findings are based on your BOM, requirements and available sourcing evidence.

Not a Generic Pass or Fail.

Each flagged line should show what was reviewed, why it may affect the project and what decision is still required. This keeps purchasing, engineering and production aligned around the same open issues.

Representative format — not a customer case or fixed service output.

Start With the Information You Already Have.

A review can begin with an incomplete BOM. Missing information will be recorded as an open item instead of being silently assumed.

Confidential project? Request an NDA and confirm the transfer route before sending sensitive or controlled files.
Manufacturer & MPNPreferred manufacturer and exact part number where known.
Quantity & build stagePrototype, pilot or production quantity requirements.
Target scheduleRequired quotation, purchasing or delivery timing.
Alternate rulesWhether alternates are prohibited, restricted or open for review.
Compliance needsProject-specific material or regulatory requirements.

Start With the BOM You Already Have.

Send your current BOM even if manufacturer details, alternates or quantities are incomplete. EBest PCBA will identify the open items and confirm the appropriate review process before quotation or purchasing.

BOM health FAQ

Questions Before Sharing a BOM.

Can EBest PCBA review an incomplete BOM?
Yes. Send the version you currently have. Missing manufacturer details, quantities, package information or sourcing rules can be recorded as open items for confirmation.
Will EBest PCBA use alternate components without our approval?
No. Potential alternates may be proposed for review, but a substitute should not be released for purchasing or production without the required customer approval.
Can you identify EOL, NRND and long-lead-time components?
Yes. Lifecycle and availability concerns can be flagged using the information available during the review. Final status, stock and lead time remain time-sensitive and should be reconfirmed when the order is placed.
Can EBest PCBA help control counterfeit component risk?
Yes. The sourcing route can include approved-channel review, incoming inspection and traceability requirements. The exact controls depend on component availability, project risk and agreed acceptance criteria.
Can we request date-code and traceability records?
Yes. State the required date-code range, lot traceability and document expectations before quotation so the applicable sourcing and inspection route can be confirmed.
Do you support customer-supplied or partial-turnkey components?
Yes. Customer-supplied, consigned and partial-turnkey arrangements can be reviewed. Confirm quantities, packaging, incoming inspection responsibility and shortage handling before release.
Can EBest PCBA sign an NDA before we send the BOM?
Yes. Request an NDA first and confirm the appropriate file-transfer route before sharing confidential BOM or project information.
Can the BOM review continue into turnkey PCBA production?
Yes. After component risks and approvals are confirmed, the BOM can be connected with PCB fabrication, component sourcing, PCBA assembly, testing and box-build planning as required by the project.
