Fabrication data
Gerber or ODB++, NC drill, fabrication drawing, outline and panel notes.
Review the information that controls board fabrication, assembly access, testability and revision release before your project moves from design data to manufacturing.
Use the checklist to prepare design data, manufacturing requirements and approval information.
A PCB DFM checklist is a structured pre-production review of the design files, board geometry, component data, assembly process, test access and release controls that may affect whether a PCB or PCBA can be built repeatedly as intended.
You do not need every answer before contacting EBest PCBA. Send the information you have and identify any open questions. EBest PCBA can then confirm which inputs are missing and which items require project-specific decisions.
Gerber or ODB++, NC drill, fabrication drawing, outline and panel notes.
BOM, approved manufacturers, alternates, XY data and assembly drawing.
Stack-up, copper, thickness, finish, impedance, special materials and controlled features.
Application, quantity, target schedule, acceptance requirements, and NDA needs.
Use each item as a question, not as automatic approval. The relevant limits and inspection route depend on the released project data, manufacturing process and agreed acceptance criteria.
Automated or manual screening can identify possible conflicts. EBest PCBA can review the actual project files to confirm which items are acceptable, which need correction, and which require a documented exception.
A useful DFM review should identify the object, show the evidence, compare the current condition with the requirement and record how the item was closed.
Name the board object, component, layer, net or file involved.
Capture the location, current value, rule or visible condition.
Separate the present design from the manufacturing or acceptance requirement.
Record the agreed correction, clarification, supplier review, or customer decision.
Verify the revised data or record an approved exception before release.
EBest PCBA can review the available data, identify missing manufacturability, assembly, sourcing, and test inputs, and separate general DFM questions from project-specific decisions before quotation or production release.
These answers explain how to prepare for review. Project-specific limits and release conditions follow evaluation of the actual data.
