We Establish an Identifiable BOM
We check manufacturer, complete part number, package, description, quantity, approved manufacturers, source restrictions and substitution status. A generic description may be enough for a concept, but it is not enough to control years of repeat purchasing.
The approved BOM remains connected to the customer part and revision. Informal sourcing notes do not replace that baseline.

After approval, the controlled BOM and affected assembly or test information are updated. Temporary approvals include their applicable quantity or time boundary.
Before another order, we check the requested revision and relevant supply changes again. This prevents an expired deviation or old prototype substitution from becoming permanent by accident.
