Yes, but scale-up should review panel efficiency, material purchasing, component availability, tooling, process capability, inspection sampling, test capacity and packaging. A working prototype proves valuable design information, but it does not automatically prove that every volume-production input is controlled. Use an NPI or pilot stage when the change in quantity creates new risks.
