How are BGA and fine-pitch components controlled?

BGA and fine-pitch assembly re…

EBest PCBA Engineering Team

BGA and fine-pitch assembly require verified land patterns, suitable stencil design, controlled solder-paste printing, accurate placement and a stable reflow process. Hidden BGA joints cannot be assessed by ordinary visual inspection alone.

The inspection plan may include SPI, AOI for visible features and X-ray for hidden solder-joint evidence, depending on package, board design and acceptance requirements.
