An engineering question is a controlled request to resolve information that is missing, conflicting or outside the agreed production rule. It may concern stack-up, drill size, impedance, material, polarity, substitution or acceptance criteria. The customer response becomes part of the released project record. Production should not proceed on a blocking EQ until the responsible party has approved the answer.
