Higher copper weight changes achievable line width, spacing, etching balance, plating and thermal behavior. Finished thickness interacts with drill diameter, aspect ratio, impedance geometry, connector fit and mechanical tolerance. These values must be reviewed together with layer count and stack-up. If the design is near a process limit, request confirmation before releasing artwork so geometry changes do not appear after quotation.
