PCBA cost includes PCB fabrication, component purchasing, assembly setup, stencil and tooling, placement and soldering, inspection, testing, programming, rework allowance, packaging and logistics. Component cost often dominates, while low-volume builds carry more setup cost per unit. A complete BOM and test scope produce a more useful cost comparison than board quantity alone.
